PARENTAL REVIEW OF COURSE REQUESTS & ACADEMIC PLAN
In February and March, Paulding County School District's high schools will complete the process of selecting courses for the 2018-2019 school year. During this time, current academic teachers make course recommendations for next year's classes, and students enter their requests for next year's elective courses. In addition to those selections, students also map out possible courses for any remaining academic years as part of their four-year plan, known in the state of Georgia as the Individual Graduation Plan (IGP). All of this work is completed in Infinite Campus, and, once complete, the selected courses can be viewed using the student's Campus Portal account. Once students and teachers have completed their part of the registration process, parents and guardians are asked to log into their Parent Portal account to view and approve the student's courses for next year and any remaining years of their four-year plan. To aid in that process, this web page has been created to help parents know which courses a student should be taking, to understand the various options available to students, and to find out how to approve the student's plan. If you follow the steps listed on this site and you still have any questions or concerns, please contact your student's counselor.
We are asking that parents and/or guardians complete the approval process by Friday, May 11, 2018. At the close of the school day on May 11th, the Academic Planner will be closed and no further changes will be available. At that time, the courses listed for next year in the planner will become the student’s course requests for the 2018-2019 school year.
