In order to view and approve your student's course requests for the 2017-2018 school year and his/her academic plan, you will need to log into your Parent Portal Account. It is important to understand that you must log in using your Parent Portal accountandnot use your student's Student Portal account.
How do you know the difference? If the Username that you use to log into the account is your student's school ID number, you are using their Student Portal account. The account belonging to the parent will use a Username that is different from the student's ID number. If you are using your Parent Portal account, continue following the steps to review your student's course requests and academic plan. If you are using your student's account, refer to the "Gaining Access to Your Parent Portal Account" shown below before continuing.
You can find the link to the Parent Portal account on the Paulding County School District's website. On the right side of the district's home page, you will see a large icon for Parent Portal. If you click on that icon, it will open the Parent Portal login page. For direct access, click on this Parent Portal link and it will open in a tab on your browser (this will allow you switch back-and-forth to this website while you check your student's plan in Parent Portal).
GAINING ACCESS TO YOUR PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT
If you have never accessed your Parent Portal account, you need to…
Come by the school’s Front Office with a copy of your photo ID. You will be asked to complete a New Parent Portal Account Form.
Or, have your student come by the Front Office to get a copy of the account form. Complete the form at home. Have your student return the form to the Front Office, along with a copy of your photo ID.
If you have lost access to a previously created Parent Portal account,…
You will need to complete an Account Reset Form.
You can either come by the Front Office to complete the form or have your student come by to pick up the form.
If completing through your student, they will also need to return the form with a copy of your photo ID.
